Welcome to Team Bloom. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Team Bloom Inc. (“Team Bloom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Team Bloom platform, website at teambloom.app, and all associated services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a sports club or other organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.
Questions about these Terms? Email us at legal@teambloom.app and we'll be happy to explain anything in plain language.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service in any way — including browsing the website, creating a club account, or joining a club as a member — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or subscribe to a plan. Members under 18 may use the Service only when added to a club by an authorized administrator, and their use is subject to the consent requirements described in Section 6.
2. Description of Service
Team Bloom is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to help amateur and youth sports clubs manage their teams, rosters, events, communications, availability, and membership. The Service is offered on a subscription basis to club administrators (“Owners” and “Admins”) and at no direct charge to invited club members.
2.1 Service Features
Depending on your subscription plan, the Service may include:
- Team and roster management, including player profiles and jersey assignments
- Event scheduling, RSVP tracking, and availability polling
- In-app and email messaging between coaches, administrators, players, and parents
- Document storage and sharing for waivers, forms, and club materials
- Parent/guardian account linking for youth athlete oversight
- Multi-team management under a single club account
- Public-facing club profile pages
2.2 Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice, or emergency maintenance without notice when necessary to protect the integrity of the platform. We are not liable for downtime caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
2.3 Free Trial
We offer a 14-day free trial so you can evaluate the Service before your subscription begins. A valid credit card is required to start a trial; you will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial without being billed. At the end of the trial, your card will be charged for the plan you selected unless you cancel beforehand.
If you would prefer to explore the platform's features without providing a credit card, we offer a demo environment at demo.teambloom.app. The demo is pre-populated with sample club data and gives you hands-on access to the core features. When you're ready to set up your own club, you can start a full trial from the demo at any time.
3. Accounts & Eligibility
3.1 Account Types
There are two primary account types on Team Bloom:
- Club accounts — Created by a club Owner who is responsible for the subscription, settings, and all activity within that club's workspace.
- Member accounts — Created when an individual is invited to a club by an administrator. A member account can belong to multiple clubs.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at security@teambloom.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to keep your credentials secure.
3.3 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information updated. We may suspend or terminate accounts where we have reason to believe the information provided is false or misleading.
3.4 One Account Per Person
Each individual may maintain one personal account. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension, access restrictions, or subscription limits.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
4.1 Plans & Pricing
Team Bloom is offered on monthly and annual subscription plans. Current pricing is available at teambloom.app/pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time, with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers before any price increase takes effect.
4.2 Billing & Payment
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually depending on your plan). Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By providing a payment method, you authorize us to charge you the applicable fees on each renewal date.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge and notify you by email. If payment remains outstanding for more than 7 days, we may downgrade or suspend your account until the balance is resolved.
4.3 Trial Conversion & Upgrades
At the end of your 14-day free trial, your card will automatically be charged for the plan you selected when you started the trial. If you upgrade from a lower plan to a higher plan mid-cycle, you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to the Service until then. We do not provide refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by applicable law.
4.5 Refunds
All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms or as required by law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at billing@teambloom.app within 30 days of the charge and we will investigate promptly.
4.6 Taxes
Prices listed do not include applicable sales tax, VAT, or similar taxes. Any such taxes will be added to your invoice where required by law. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your use of the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Uploading, posting, or transmitting any content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, defamatory, threatening, or obscene
- Sharing personal information of minors without appropriate parental or guardian consent
- Using the messaging features to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam)
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code of the Service
- Scraping, crawling, or using automated tools to extract data from the Service without our written permission
- Using the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its performance or availability for other users
- Reselling, sublicensing, or otherwise making the Service available to third parties outside your club
- Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or organization
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action — including suspending or terminating accounts — for any violation of this section.
Youth athlete protection. The Service is frequently used by clubs with minor members. Any use of Team Bloom to exploit, harm, or facilitate harm to minors is grounds for immediate termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
6. Administrator Responsibilities
Club Owners and Administrators (“Admins”) have elevated permissions within their club's workspace. By accepting the role of Owner or Admin, you take on additional responsibilities:
6.1 Member Invitations
Admins are responsible for ensuring that invitations are sent only to individuals who have agreed to be added to the club. You must not add members without their knowledge or consent.
6.2 Youth Members
If your club includes members under 18 years of age, you are responsible for:
- Obtaining appropriate parental or guardian consent before adding youth members to the platform
- Linking youth member profiles to a parent or guardian account where required by applicable law (e.g., COPPA in the United States)
- Ensuring that coaches and administrators do not communicate privately with minor members — Team Bloom's messaging system is designed to copy parents on all messages involving their linked child
- Not uploading photos of minors without parental permission
6.3 Data Accuracy
Admins are responsible for the accuracy of the club data they maintain within the Service, including member information, event details, and team records.
6.4 Subscription Management
The club Owner is responsible for maintaining an active, paid subscription. If a subscription lapses, member access may be restricted until the subscription is renewed.
6.5 Compliance
Admins are responsible for ensuring their use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, including privacy laws governing the collection and processing of member data in their jurisdiction.
7. Content & Intellectual Property
7.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or submit through the Service (“Your Content”), including club information, event data, messages, documents, and member profiles. By using the Service, you grant Team Bloom a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service.
We do not claim ownership of Your Content and will not use it for any purpose beyond providing the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7.2 Content Standards
You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to it. Your Content must not violate any law, infringe any third-party rights, or violate our Acceptable Use policy in Section 5.
7.3 Team Bloom Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, features, branding, and documentation, is owned by Team Bloom Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written consent.
“Team Bloom” and our logo are trademarks of Team Bloom Inc. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
7.4 Feedback
If you submit suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service (“Feedback”), you grant us an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free license to use that Feedback for any purpose, including incorporating it into the Service, without compensation to you.
7.5 Data Export
You may export your club's data at any time from your account settings. Upon termination of your account, we will make your data available for export for 30 days, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in that policy.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a club in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with specific data processing requirements, you may request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) by emailing legal@teambloom.app.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
9.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEAM BLOOM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content on the Service.
9.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TEAM BLOOM AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TEAM BLOOM IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
9.3 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Team Bloom and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your access to or use of the Service, (b) Your Content, or (c) your violation of these Terms.
Plain language version: We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but we can't be responsible for every possible outcome. The limits above are standard for software services and are there to keep Team Bloom sustainable so we can keep serving your club.
10. Termination
10.1 Termination by You
You may close your account at any time by going to your account settings and selecting “Delete Account,” or by emailing support@teambloom.app. Canceling a subscription (Section 4.4) is separate from closing your account.
10.2 Termination by Team Bloom
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful activity, or if required to do so by law. Where feasible, we will provide advance notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation.
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and the governing law clause — will survive.
If your account is terminated by Team Bloom for cause, any unused subscription period is non-refundable. If we terminate your account without cause, we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
- Send an email notification to all registered club Owners and Admins at least 14 days before the changes take effect
- Display a prominent notice within the app
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription and close your account before the effective date.
For minor, non-material changes (such as fixing typos or clarifying existing language), we may update the Terms without notice beyond updating the “Last updated” date.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation will be subject to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, with proceedings conducted in San Francisco, California. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm. If you are a consumer located in a jurisdiction that prohibits mandatory arbitration of consumer disputes, the arbitration clause above will not apply to you.
